Hey y'all! I just got off the phone with Carpe Diem and they are super excited to host us on Thursday, October 29th in their lounge/bar area. They are also offering us $5 tapas specials and $1 off any draft beer or house wine! It has been years (literally) since we all got together for great food, drinks, and desserts at Carpe Diem so please make a special effort to come out and celebrate with us! If you are new to the Atlanta Hungarian Meetup this will a great opportunity to meet new friends in a social environment. A szeptemberi magyar oktatás nagy sikerén felbuzdulva októberben is megszervezzük a gyerekek magyar kulturális oktatását. Amint már tudjátok, minden hónap harmadik vasárnapján délután 4 órától tartjuk ezt az oktatást a 2-14 eves gyerekeknek, három korcsoportban. A kis csoportot (2-5 éves korosztály) Glaza Bernadette es Rózsa Ildikó tanítja. A középső csoportot (6-8 éves korosztály) Morócz Petra és Werner Piroska, míg a nagy csoport tanítását (9-14 éves korosztály) Némedi Zsolt es Szabó Bea vállalta el.
Természetesen aki a tanításban segíteni szeretne, azt továbbra is tárt karokkal várjuk.
A fiatalabb korosztály mondókák, mesék, játékok tanulása mellett versekkel, énekekkel is ismerkedik. A középső csoport a regékkel kezdett el ismerkedni, az idősebb gyerekek a magyar történelmi eseményeken kívül a magyar irodalom remekeivel is megismerkednek, valamint népdalokat is tanulnak. (A gyerekek az órán tanultakat kézbe is kapják majd, így otthon veletek tanulhatnak, gyakorolhatnak.) Mindhárom csoportot Pápay Koszó Daniella tanítja néptancra is, az óra keretén belül.
Az oktatás helyszíne a roswelli presbiteriánus templom közösségi terme, valamint az ebből nyíló kisebb termek. Aki még nem járt ott és nem tudja, az épület a kápolna mellett van, és lépcsőn kell lemenni. Keressétek a magyar zászlót a lejáratnál. Parkolni az épület előtti parkolóban valamint a nagy templom mögötti parkolóban lehet.
Mindenkit szeretettel várunk október 18.-i alkalmunkon. Due to its big success in September, we are planning to teach Hungarian culture (some language) to children between 2 and 14 the third Sunday of each month in the Fellowship Building of the Roswell Presbyterian Church. We devided the children to three age groups. All the groups will learn poems, songs, and folk dancing. (dance taught by Daniella Papay-Koszo)and according to their ages, some kind of history.
We will start the classes at 4 pm sharp. Please be there in time, and look for the Hungarian flag, in case you haven't been at this place before.
We are looking forward to seeing you, and your children at this upcoming class, October 18th, at 4:00 pm.

Remélem hamarosan találkozunk!! As you might know by now, every third Sunday of the month is Hungarian Worship day in Roswell Presbyterian Church, which is followed by potluck dinner (5 pm)- contributions are welcomed!
After the dinner Daniella Papay Koszo will teach us Hungarian folk dancing!! You don't have to know how to dance, Daniella will teach you! Please come!

In the first class (September 20st) the younger kids will learn about the fall, vintage, start of school, while the older ones will learn about the settlement of the Magyars in the territory of Hungary. Meghivo az Augusztus 20-i Unnepsegre Mindenkit szeretettel hivunk az idei Augusztus 20-i Unnepsegunkre!
Az unnepseg augusztus 23-an 5:30-kor kerul megrendezesre a Hungarian Meet-up Group es a Hungarian Community Church of Georgia kozos szervezeseben.
Erre az alkalomra musorral is keszulunk. A musor kereten belul lathatunk majd neptanc eloadast, hallhatunk magyar dalokat es verseket.

August 20 is a National Holiday in Hungary, we celebrate the foundation of the Hungarian State by Saint Stephen, our first Christian King and his later canonization. The new bread is also blessed on this day.
